2. What we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:
- Name and email address (via Google sign-in or direct account signup)
- Phone number, where provided
- Booking and lease history (vehicle, dates, amounts, payment status)
- Messages you send us through Purchase enquiry forms
- Details submitted through the Owner Lease Program registration form (your name, contact details, and information about your vehicle)
We do not collect or store payment card or Mobile Money account details — payments are made directly by you via Mobile Money, outside this website.
We do not currently collect Ghana Card, driver's license, or other government-issued ID information through this website. If this changes in future, this Policy will be updated in advance to describe what is collected, why, and how it is protected, before that feature is enabled.
3. Why we collect it
We use your personal data to:
- Create and manage your account
- Process and manage vehicle lease bookings and purchase enquiries
- Communicate with you, including sending booking confirmations and paid invoices/receipts
- Process Owner Lease Program registrations
- Improve the website (see Cookies, §6)
4. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it:
- With service providers who help us operate the platform — for example, Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Resend (for sending invoice/receipt emails)
- Where required by law, or to cooperate with law enforcement in cases of suspected theft or fraud involving a leased vehicle
- With your consent, or as otherwise described in this Policy
5. How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted storage and transmission, password protection, and role-based access control limiting who at iCars Autos can view your information.

This website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function (for example, to keep you logged in). Non-essential cookies — such as analytics — are only set after you actively accept them through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You may withdraw this consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Withdraw consent to processing, where consent is the basis for it
- Object to certain processing, or request deletion of your data
